Do I need to " Log in " to use the website?
If you are accessing the timetable website via studentcentral you will automatically be logged in; however, you can view timetables as a guest without logging in. If you are a student and you wish to download your module selections and view a timetable based on these modules, you will need to be logged in. How do I access the Course/Course Groups/Module timetable function?

For the Course and the Course Groups options you will then be offered a search facility. For the Module option you will need to click the "Click to Start" button to access the search facility.
The timetable view screen defaults to a timetable for a full academic year. How do I change the timetable to show events for only one semester or a specific week or number of weeks?
In the timetable view screen there is a facility to change the weeks. Click on the "Change Weeks" tab at the top of the timetable and then select "Semester 1" or "Semester 2" or an individual week by clicking on the appropriate button. If you wish to select a specific range of weeks, you can enter this in the "enter range" box, when you click in the box, instructions will be displayed on how to enter a week range.
How do I return to the timetable homepage or choose to view a different timetable option?

If you want to switch from searchin for a course timetable to a module timetable either click to return to the homepage to make a different choice, or click on the relevant link in the menu on the left of the screen.
Is the information displayed on the timetable current?
The events displayed on the web timetables feed directly from the University's timetabling system (CMIS). The information updates in real time, therefore, as soon as changes are made to events in CMIS, they will be reflected on the web timetables. It is essential that you check the web timetables regularly for any changes to your timetables.
The timetable displays week numbers for the event, how do I convert the week numbers to dates?
The week numbers relate to roombooking weeks which are not the same as teaching weeks. It is therefore essential that you carefully check the actual dates of the events. If you click on the event in the timetable view screen, a larger box will be displayed containing the event data, the dates for the event are listed under the "Weeks" heading. To obtain the actual dates for an individual week number you can click on the "change weeks" tab and hover the mouse over the button for the week number in question, the dates for that week will be displayed. Click here for a calendar which shows the week numbers and their associated dates. Please see our guide to Understanding your timetable weeks for more information,
Can I print the timetable?
Timetables can be printed using the browser print option. Remember that the timetable may change and it is important to check the timetable on the live system regularly to keep up to date with changes.
Course SearchClick to reveal/hide
I am unable to select my course
Start typing the course title in the "Enter course" box and a drop down list will appear, identify your course from the list and click on it in the list to select it. Enter your year of study and click on "Show Timetable" to view a timetable for that course.
My course does not appear in the list
Firstly, please check that you have entered the course name correctly. Some courses are excluded from this search, check with your school office whether your course is set to display on the web timetables.
The timetable displays extra modules or events
All events for all modules for the course will be displayed, this will include compulsory and optional module choices and events for all groups. This may result in the timetable showing extra modules or events and you may not have to attend all of them.
The timetable has clashes (two events at the same time)
All the events for all the groups will display in the timetable and it may appear that there are clashes which you will not have once you are assigned to a group. You can condense the timetable by grouping these events together by clicking the "Change Weeks" tab, ticking the "Group Events" box, and clicking on the arrow, this will group all events together that contain the same times, dates and module and will mark them "multiple events".
There is missing information in the event.
If the room is missing from the event, this may not have been assigned to the event yet. If the event is not imminent, check the timetable again nearer to the event and the room should be showing. If the event is imminent, please contact your school office for advice on which room you need to attend the event.
